Originally from Minnesota, I call North Alabama my home. I do not miss the sub-zero temperatures, but I have been known to wish for snow. I live with a wonderfully supportive husband (who does the laundry when I write), two young daughters, and one neurotic cat. I have too many hobbies, some of which include cooking, working out (I love kettle-bells & yoga), art (in all its forms), and reading (of course!).

It is my dream to write full time. Until then, I have a day job in the medical field.

I am a member of the Romance Writers of America and Heart of Dixie chapter. I also show up on Romance Magicians Blogspot for Southern Magic.

I’d love to hear from you, my email is:

I am always on the lookout for different stories and music (any suggestions from you I will happily look into). Below are a few of the things I am currently reading (or have read), listening to and watching.

What I Like to Read:
Not surprisingly, I am partial to the paranormal, but I love fantasy, the darker the better. The last thing I have read is: “The Shadow Queen” by Anne Bishop.

What I like listening to:
Recently, for my rough drafts, I’ve been listening to a combination of Jace Everett, Joss Stone, and Amy Winehouse. At other times when I write I listen to: Evanescence, Mozart, Handel, Il Divo, and Loreena McKinnett. My work out music: Plumb, Godsmack, Metallica, Hinder, Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman, and 3 Doors Down (but all this changes as my moods do)

What I’m Watching:

TELEVISION:
In general, I have little time to watch television. This may be a good thing, but here are a few things that have alerted my interest. I admit, if a show has werewolves, vampires, and other paranormal creatures I tend to watch it. Currently I am watching the ones below: True Blood – HBO series, based on Charlaine Harris’s books. Castle—with Nathan Fillion on ABC

Movies I like:
Star Trek (the new one), Wolverine, Twilight, Harry Potter (all of them), 300, Eastern Promises, Practical Magic, LadyHawke, Ever After, The Princess Bride, all the X-men movies, Tales of Riddick, etc. It is quite obvious I adore the fantasy and fairytales, but lots of action and adventure.
